Kraus-Fitch Architects worked with the future residents of Champlain Valley Community to program their site, units, and common house. We then worked in collaboration with local architect William Maclay to develop schematic designs.
Nestled on 125 acres of rolling farmland, wetlands, and woods, Champlain Valley Community includes a CSA farm and 26 units of housing (in townhouse and single family configurations). Common amenities include gardens, great lawn, play ground, pedestrian paths, and a 3,000 + SF common house. 116 acres were granted to the Vermont Land Trust through an easement.
