Crocker Farm Elementary School
The work at Crocker Farm Elementary School represented a complete transformation of a previously well-constructed, but worn out and crowded neighborhood school. As project architect for Margo Jones Architects, Laura Fitch, helped design 19,000 SF of additions and 50,000 SF of renovations. The school now houses the district-wide preschool program as well as a new library.
Structural repairs to existing flat roofs were made to address snow loading issues. Classroom storage cubbies and finishes were upgraded and natural daylighting in many of the existing class, music and art rooms was improved with new skylights. The preschool addition at Crocker Farm Elementary School includes four classrooms and administrative offices.
