Mosaic Commons Community Center
The 5,000 square foot community building was designed to be the center of community life – a gathering place for residents and visitors.
Fitch Architecture & Community Design (formerly Kraus Fitch Architects) provided full architectural services including extensive programming for the 5,000 SF accessible community center at Mosaic Commons, one of two neighborhoods within the Sawyer Hill Development. Construction was completed in 2009. The community building is highly energy efficient, greatly exceeding Energy Star requirements, and contains a commercial kitchen connected to a great room which seats over 70 people and is used for meals, events, and performances. For seniors and the hard of hearing, care was taken to reduce noise between the spaces and within the large gathering space.
